We use modern diagnostic equipment for precise assessment and safe treatment. Good veterinary care starts with the right diagnosis – that is why we have invested in medical technology that gives us quick access to diagnostic information and allows many examinations and treatments to be performed directly at the clinic.

Laboratories

Our own analysis machines allow many blood and urine samples to be analyzed at the clinic during the consultation. This gives us quick access to diagnostic information and means that further investigation or treatment can often be planned without waiting for an external laboratory.

Modern diagnostic equipment in the laboratory

When we analyze blood and urine directly at the clinic, we get quick access to information that can be crucial for further investigation and treatment. For acutely ill animals, short response times can be particularly important.

VetScan Imagyst – artificial intelligence in the laboratory

VetScan Imagyst from Zoetis combines digital microscopy with AI-based analytics in one compact unit in the clinic.

The system analyzes, among other things, stool samples, urine sediment, skin cytology, blood smears and selected cytological samples. The individual AI applications are validated against reviews from veterinary specialists, and digital slides can be sent to a clinical pathologist or parasitologist for expert assessment if necessary - without the sample physically leaving the clinic.

External laboratories

Our in-house laboratory covers most routine analyses quickly and efficiently. For specialized analyses that require advanced methodology, genetic testing or specialist assessment, we collaborate with three leading reference laboratories.

IDEXX Reference Laboratory

IDEXX is one of the world's largest veterinary diagnostic laboratories, with a broad testing repertoire. Here we find advanced PCR panels for infectious diseases, pathology with digital blood smears interpreted by a specialist, endocrinology analyses and microbiology with susceptibility testing. The results are connected directly to VetConnect PLUS and our in-house IDEXX devices, so that we have a complete diagnostic overview of the patient.

Laboklin

Laboklin is a German accredited reference laboratory (ISO 17025) founded in 1989, with a Nordic branch and a Norwegian veterinary consultant. They specialize in microbiology, allergy, parasitology, genetics and pathology – with particular strength in genetic disease testing and breed heredity testing. For complex skin diseases, resistant infections and genetic questions, Laboklin is our preferred partner.

Nextmune (formerly Dr. Baddaky) – allergy and immunotherapy

In the investigation and treatment of atopic dermatitis, we collaborate with Nextmune – formerly known as Dr. Baddaky. When allergen testing is indicated, they offer, among other things, IgE-based testing that can be used to identify relevant allergens when planning allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT). ASIT is the only treatment that affects the actual disease process of allergies and not just the symptoms, and it provides improvement in the majority of treated patients – with consistently better results the longer the treatment continues. Nextmune has approval from the Norwegian Medicines Agency for the import of immunotherapy to Norway, and their veterinary dermatologists comment on the test results and can be consulted directly by clinical veterinarians.

Imaging

X-rays and ultrasounds allow us to see inside the body without surgery. The methods complement each other – X-rays show skeletons and organ contours, while ultrasound shows soft tissue and movement in real time.

SignalPET – AI image interpretation

X-rays and dental X-rays are sent to SignalPET after the examination is completed. SignalRAY analyzes general X-rays and SignalSMILE dental X-rays, and generates a structured report that is used as a supplement to the veterinarian's own assessment. Depending on the service and the examination, images can be further evaluated by a veterinary radiologist or other relevant specialist if necessary.

Dental treatment

Dental and gum disease is common in dogs and cats and can cause significant pain. We have a dedicated dental room with complete equipment for thorough examination and treatment.

Why dental x-rays are crucial

A large part of the tooth lies below the gum line. Studies show that approximately 28 percent of teeth that appear normal on clinical examination in dogs still have findings on x-ray – in cats the proportion is even higher. That is why we take x-rays of all teeth as part of the dental examination.

Anesthesia and monitoring

Safe anesthesia is a prerequisite for all surgery. We use modern anesthesia machines and continuous monitoring throughout the procedure – so that changes can be detected quickly and managed along the way.

Older patients receive a routine blood test before anesthesia, while the need is assessed individually for other patients. The results, together with the clinical examination, are included in the assessment of how anesthesia should be planned for the individual patient.

Specialized technology for surgical procedures and diagnostics of the eyes, ears and heart – so that we can offer thorough examinations and safe treatment even for more complex conditions.

ARC Laser FOX – diode laser

We use an ARC Laser FOX, an 810 nm diode laser from the German manufacturer ARC Laser. We use it in the treatment of glaucoma with transscleral cyclophotocoagulation, where laser energy is directed at the ciliary body – the tissue that produces eye fluid. By reducing its production, the pressure in the eye can be lowered without open surgery.

Takagi OM-300 – surgical microscope

Takagi is a Japanese manufacturer with extensive experience in precision optics for surgery. The OM-300 features apochromatic optics that provide sharp, color-true images – essential for accurate assessment of tissue during surgery. High-intensity coaxial LED illumination provides uniform, shadow-free light in the surgical field. The microscope is used in eye surgery and other microsurgical procedures where magnification and optimal illumination are critical for the outcome.

Cardiopet ECG

IDEXX Cardiopet sends ECG recordings directly to a specialist cardiologist for evaluation, providing access to specialist expertise without having to send the animal to another clinic.

Clinic environment and safety

A safe clinic environment is not just about diagnostics and treatment – ​​it is also about the environment the animal and owner encounter. We have invested in systems for hygiene, controlled drug handling and traceability.

BioZone – air purification in every room

We have BioZone Basic PR air purifiers in every room at the clinic. The system combines UVC light, photoplasma and ionization, without filters and without chemicals. According to the manufacturer, it is designed to reduce, among other things, bacteria, viruses, mold spores, particles and odors in the air and on surfaces. See manufacturer's test documentation.
